Half day program to try diving!
No experience necessary.

Overview

If you are not a certified diver or have never been diving before, you can try it today and enjoy the incredible underwater world. Taganga is a great place to experience your very first breaths under water and see the wonders of Tayrona national park.

Program structure

After checking in at the dive center, your instructor will give you an introduction to the basics of the dive theory. In this briefing you will learn how to use your equipment, what to expect underwater, rules to keep you safe and the skills you will be learning. Then we go by boat to Tayrona national park and practice in confined water the use of scuba equipment. Once you have mastered the skills and feel confident, you will explore the first dive site. After a break of about 60 minutes on a small beach in the national park, we will head by boat to another dive site and make our second dive on a different location. The dives are normally about 30 – 45 minutes long and up to a maximum depth of 12m / 30 feet.

If you are very short in time or you have to watch your budget, we can offer you the same program but with only 1 dive. This option is only available on our afternoon 1 tank dive trip.

Prerequisites

To sign up for this program you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.

You will need to complete a medical statement and may be asked to consult a physician to receive a medical clearance prior to diving. If you have any medical issues or concerns, please let us know in advance. You can download the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Statement here.
